In May 2019 the Brown & Oliver Enterprising Student award was given during the Milton Hershey School Alumni Awards Luncheon at Catherine Hall. The Brown & Oliver brothers created the award in 2012 to recognize and reward a student each year who embodies enterprising qualities (Spirit of Entrepreneurship, Excellence in Leadership, and Commitment to the Betterment of the World), like that of Mr. Hershey himself.
Alexander Oliver ‘01 joins his brother Doug Oliver ‘93 while also representing their cousins Jason Brown ‘99 and Malcolm Brown ‘99, at this momentous event as they give this prestigious award to that years recipient, Davan Hanley from class of 2019. Jared T. Ross, the 2018 recipient returned to hand off the award along with the Oliver’s.
After the ceremony, Alexander joins Jared T. Ross and Amanda DuCharme for a walthrough at the new Catherine Hall up on the hill.
